Solar Panels & Waste
Solar panels have become a major factor on how businesses control their carbon footprint and how the environment can be made cleaner. Here at HiTeam, we have solar panels installed that power our office thereby reducing carbon emissions from our day to day business interactions – an environmetally clean company and team.
When it comes down to waste, we ensure all our waste is recycled correctly and landfill waste is disposed of properly. We print as little as possible and when we do, we print double sided.
Reducing Travel Emissions
At HiTeam, we attempt to keep travelling at a minium where possible.
We prioritise online conference calls, as well as phone calls over travelling acress the UK to talk to clients. While this has a less personal feel than a face-to-face chat, it reduces a very large amount of our footprint.
We operate a lot of our business locally, therefore driving to local businesses and hosting online conference calls to non-local businesses gives HiTeam a much more environmentally friendly ethic.
In order to reduce carbon emissions from the manufacture of new equiptment, we HiTeam uses existing equiptment as long as it is practical to do so. Any new equiptment that is purchased, energy is a key factor in purchasing desisions.
We are always improving how we effect the environment and the next big step towards this is the purchase hybrid or fully electric cars.
